If you do NOT have a Twitter account:Then text follow Sheffieldpeak to 8987.
You will receive a Welcome text from Twitter and will receive any tweets placed by Sheffield School, from then on. These can also be viewed on the home page of their website.
If you want to stop receiving tweets from Sheffield School (or if you open a Twitter account) then you need to remove your notifications and phone number from the followers list.
Text STOP to 8987 - to remove notifications.
Again text STOP to 8987 - to remove your phone number from the followers list.
If you HAVE a Twitter account, then you need to set up your Twitter account to receive messages and then to follow Sheffield School. There are a few different ways to receive and view Tweets.
- You can download an app on your smart phone.
- You can view via your Twitter account on the internet.
- You can receive tweets via email.
- You can receive text messages.
To receive text messages you need to add your mobile phone number and details into your Twitter account.
Then text START to 8987 - You will receive a Welcome to Twitter text.
Reply YES to sign in.
Reply with your Twitter Username.
Then reply with your Twitter Password.
You will receive an email from Twitter confirming your mobile phone is added to your Twitter account.
To follow Sheffield School and receive text messages. You need to Follow Sheffield School which will then be added to your Twitter account. An easy way to do this is go to Sheffield School's home page on their website and click on Follow. Once you are following Sheffield School on your Twitter account you will need to turn on mobile notifications (if you want to receive tweet texts).
To do this within your Twitter account.
- Click Home.
- On Sheffield School information, next to the Following Button, click on the clog wheel More User Actions.
- Click Turn On mobile notifications.
- Then text Follow Sheffieldpeak to 8987.
You will receive a text confirming you are following Sheffieldpeak and will receive any tweets placed by Sheffield School, from then on.
